Inter Milan fullback Matteo Darmianhas told his teammates to enjoy their Italian Serie A title celebrations as the Scudettowas earned. Ex-Torino and Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian came up with some big goals in the latter stages of the just concluded Italian Serie A season to get the Nerazzuri over the line as far as the league title is concerned. The Italian international played his part to help Inter Milan end their long wait for the league title. The Nerazzuri secured their first title in over a decade as they stopped the domestic dominance of rivals Juventus.
Darmiansaid that there’s nothing wrong with making most of their title triumph having worked hard to make it possible throughout the course of the season. The 31-year-old further said that he can’t wait to share the memories of the title win with his two-year-old son when he grows up.
Matteo Darmian is on loan at Inter Milan from Parma who recently suffered relegation to the Italian Serie B. He scored four goals in 33 matches in all competitions for the Nerazzuri.
Italian tactician Antonio Conte was the brain behind the league title win for Inter Milan. The former Juventus and Chelsea boss led Inter to the 19th league title in their history in his second season at the San Siro. Conte has since left Inter Milan after he reached an agreement with the club to cancel the remaining one year on the three-year deal that he signed when he became the Nerazzuri boss at the start of the last campaign.
